Before reading this, if you haven’t already read part 1 here first.
So next up we have weapons! The monument of Valor can get you a few points without completely selling your soul.
Tormentor weapons are extremely expensive so they are out of the question for your average adventurer but you only need one to fully max out your Valor monument so if you get the opportunity to get one GO FOR IT!
Destroyer weapons used to be semi-affordable but the craziness of the economy ever since the HoM caluclator was released has sky rocketed the price of them. You may have enough materials stockpiled or the cash to stomach the price to obtain these bad boys, otherwise hold off on these until the market calms down a bit more.
That leaves Oppressor weapons, these are your best bet for the Valor monument as they don’t actually cost anything other than time.
Oppressor weapons require 10 Medals of Honor and you should get this many through a single play through of the War in Kryta. When playing through WiK content unless your hoping for those elusive mini’s don’t bother with the royal gifts but instead spend your War supplies on Medals of Honor so you can grab more Oppressor Weapons. It should be noted that you need the Prophecies campaign to play War in Kryta and thus get Oppressor Weapons.
Its starting to look like all Guild Wars: Beyond content rewards Medals of Honor as Hearts of the North missions also rewarded them, what this potentially means for you is that there is a good chance the next installment of GW:B ‘Winds of Change’ (which is set in Cantha) will reward Medals of Honor! Once you have finished the main WiK and HotN missions you can either complete WiK bounties (given in the Lions Arch Keep) or re-do HotN missions for War Supplies to trade in for Medals of Honor.
Alternatively if you have any alts (alternate characters) that have access to WiK and HotN then make sure they have all had a play through this content to maximise your Medals of Honor. One Oppressor weapon alone can get you 2 points while if you get all the Oppressor weapons (assuming you had no other weapons) you could get a total of 5 points in your Valor Monument. The War in Kryta is also good for the fact that the Royal Gifts (note the conflict of interests with Oppressor weapons) rewards a lot of consumables that can help towards titles like Sweet tooth, Party Animal and Drunkard.
Well unitl next time! Keep those points rolling!
