I’ve been tracking and following The Old Republic for years now and more info they release the more interesting it gets. That will be one game that I cannot pass so ways of the force awaits me! Bioware is aiming for spring 2011 release. They’ve been making the game about 5 years now so could very well be finished and polished by then. I will play both TOR and GW2 next year, if GW2 comes out next year. Any others here who might go for TOR too? What you think about it so far? |

Watching the trailer videos made me very excited! Then when I watched some of the in-game footage/trailers I was a little disappointed. I don't think it will be a game to distract me from Guild Wars 2. |

I'm not at all hyped about TOR, mainly because it's a Star Wars game ¬_¬ The cinematic trailer was pretty, but I can't imagine the gameplay being similar at all (destructible landscapes in an MMO?) Bioware have made some brilliant games, *cough* DA:O *cough*, but I'm not sure they'll be able to make a decent MMO. .. oh, and did I mention it's Star Wars? D: Edit: Just found this: http://www.gamerevolution.com/manifesto/ea-artist-soon-to-be-laid-off-burns-ea-management-1903 … Not much about TOR, but someone from inside EA says it will suck. Just a heads-up :< |

I joined some years ago to TOR site and I was one of those who were hoping for different game play that seem to be in this game. I was hoping and asking more GW2 like (before I knew anything about GW2) combat system for example. I felt that it would be better that if Jedi (or other character) can move when fighting etc. Now it is too WoW like which I’m quite sick of but I think that I can live with it and enjoy the story and other aspects of that game which seem very good. |
