I’ve been tracking and following The Old Republic for years now and more info they release the more interesting it gets. That will be one game that I cannot pass so ways of the force awaits me!

Bioware is aiming for spring 2011 release. They’ve been making the game about 5 years now so could very well be finished and polished by then. I will play both TOR and GW2 next year, if GW2 comes out next year.

Any others here who might go for TOR too? What you think about it so far?

Watching the trailer videos made me very excited! Then when I watched some of the in-game footage/trailers I was a little disappointed. I don't think it will be a game to distract me from Guild Wars 2.

I'm not at all hyped about TOR, mainly because it's a Star Wars game ¬_¬

The cinematic trailer was pretty, but I can't imagine the gameplay being similar at all (destructible landscapes in an MMO?)

Bioware have made some brilliant games, *cough* DA:O *cough*, but I'm not sure they'll be able to make a decent MMO.

.. oh, and did I mention it's Star Wars? D:

Edit: Just found this: http://www.gamerevolution.com/manifesto/ea-artist-soon-to-be-laid-off-burns-ea-management-1903 … Not much about TOR, but someone from inside EA says it will suck. Just a heads-up :<

I joined some years ago to TOR site and I was one of those who were hoping for different game play that seem to be in this game. I was hoping and asking more GW2 like (before I knew anything about GW2) combat system for example. I felt that it would be better that if Jedi (or other character) can move when fighting etc. Now it is too WoW like which I’m quite sick of but I think that I can live with it and enjoy the story and other aspects of that game which seem very good.
