Have you guys checked out the Guild wars novel – Ghost of Ascalon? If you havnt read it you can get the first chapter here. Seems really interesting, reminds me of the Lord of the Rings books so far. |

Guildwars lore seems much more fantasy like with the new races. |

I thought about buying it a while ago, but I am a little squeamish about Lore Books. If I hear good things about it from you guys though I might look into it… |

Sorry to bring up a thread that's not been posted in for some time, but I got Ghosts of Ascalon a few weeks back and got through it pretty quickly. **Warning to the spoiler super-sensitive – I'm going to vaguely outline the story but won't give any details away.** I found it to be a very easy read, the book follows a group of adventurers sent to Ascalon to recover a Charr relic in hopes of bringing uneasy peace between humans and charr. The narrative isn't groundshaking but it was an entertaining read and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of guild wars lore. The characters are pretty good and it's interesting to see how the different races interact (the group comprises of one of each of the playable GW2 races). I\\\'ve now moved on to the sequel, Edge of Destiny, which is really a great read, with even better characters and surprisingly good humour. Definitely recommended! |

Don't be afraid to jump into any thread, regardless of when the last post was. If you have something to contribute, we want to hear it! |
