Since Orr is going to play a role in Guild Wars 2 I wanna get up to play on the charr invasion before GW1. I know the charr invaded, Ascalon, Kryta and Orr. The charr pushed the humans back to Ascalon City but were held back by the great northern wall until finally unleashing the searing on Ascalon. Kryta repelled the charr due to the Mursaat (known then as 'The Unseen Ones') empowering Saul D'Alessio and through this the White Mantle was formed. All I know about Orr is they sunk themselves in order to stop whatever resided within Orr from falling into the hands of the Charr.
What else do you guys know?
Also were there any other human nations in Tyria that I haven't mentioned?

Orr was sunk not on purpose but in backfire when their king read from the lost scrolls to read forbidden magic in order to defeat the encroaching threat of the charr. This is the cause of the Great Cataclysm, The orrians were overrun as they were tired from their battles between themselves and the ascalonians and the krytans(the inspiration for the title Guild Wars as the three guilds, orrians ascalonians and krytans were at war before the charr attacked). Not all of Orr was sunk as well.while Arah, The capital city, was completely obliterated, and many of the other parts of orr were sunk as well there is still a scattering of islands above water. Arah was once the place of gods where entities like Melandru, Grenth, and lyssa called home. there were no other known human outposts though there were a few Dwarven outposts. It is also important to note that this is the sleeping place of Zhaitan, one of the elder dragons. Orr extended from the crystal desert to the tarnished coast and down into the caverns of the shards of orr. it is also noteworthy to know that abbadon influenced Khilbron in what would ultimately make him read the scroll and unlease the great cataclysm. Theres a whole lot more information out there on different signs in the outposts and through quests and collection. Of course there is an easier way to look up this information, the wiki has almost all of the dialogue from in game. Although i enjoy it more straight from the source as the atmosphere is better. anyways cant wait to see how they work Orr in to GW2

Yea I did checkout the wiki on the charr invasion, Orr and the Cataclysm it was very interesting. I find Orr interesting because as I comprehend it there are remnants of Orr sunken in the sea and now that Zhaitan has risen severely affecting the area we have some opportunity for some Atlantean type experiences (The Lost City of Atlantis being one of my favourite myths).

huh I wasnt picturing it as some atlantian city rising from the depths my mind was more leaning towards something like pompei except with water where some of the city was preserved by the sudden cataclysm and yet most of it would be demolished and covered in years of mud grime and other swampy vegatation. I like yours better though I cant wait to see what route they take.
