So the Guardian has just been revealed. What profession do you think will be revealed next? |

I'm gonna have to go with Mesmer on this one just because Mesmer is one of Guild Wars most original professions and how could they not include it? |

Likewise. I think Arena Net prides themselves on their unique classes, and it's hard to leave something as strange as the Mesmer behind. Also, this looks strangely familiar: |

I'm not sure on what the mix would be, but I think a mix of Assassin/Ritualist would be a sweet profession. Because it would provide quick melee damage when in a position where you can't attack from a distance (soloing), but also nice ranged damage (when in a group) and maybe even party heals (referring to ritualists healing spirits). |

Since there is only one new profession left (Guardian was one of them,) I don't think the next profession will be the other new one. This one I'm thinking may be Engineer or something vaguely 'techy'. Monk, Paragon and Ritualist are essentially summed up in the Guardian in some capacity or other, so don't think they will make any more of an appearance. I'm unsure about Dervish. Their trait/build style is similar to an ele, as strange as that sounds, since they both change what they are attuned to. Dervishes do it through avatars, like Avatar of Balthazar, while Elementalists do it through traditional element attunement. It changes how they can handle different situations with a complete change of style. So maybe Dervish can make a return. Mesmer is a very unique style in play and skills. You could (perhaps) sum up a Mesmer as a cross between a necro and a Ranger – they hex enemies and interrupt. I realise there is more to a Mesmer than that so don't kill me :p I know a lot of people are very fond of Mesmers and the style of play, so I think Anet will want to keep them yet not want to reveal them until last / penultimate profession. My decision for this poll is down to the only standing option, Assassin. A fairly interesting play style unlike things seen in other online games – unless you want to say a rogue from some such game that I've never played, and Assassin's Creed doesn't count – and so I think is another one that Anet will want to keep. I'd like to see it make a comeback! TL;DR : I picked Assassin. Mesmer and 'techy' profession to come afterwards. |

For me assassin (or some other stealth class) would be nice to see at this point. |

yes,i don't. Forget about the days when you've been lonely, But don't forget the friendly smiles you've seen. Forget about the plans that didn't seem to work out right, But don't forget to always have a dream. terracotta warriors replica |

for me the next profession is most likely going to be something along the lines of a gun master or martial artist. i can see thief taking over for the guns and if thats the case then some type of martial artist makes sense.(chi magics and high powered physical attacks) |

I've been thinking about the Mesmer returning but recently I've started wondering if they're going to bring it back as it was before or as something different (Assassin -> Thief style). There seems to be a lot of evidence to suggest some kind of return (concept art, significant in the literature, etc), but nothing concrete yet. But anyway, I'm remaining optimistic that it will return, but how? If it's the same as before, then that's sorted, but what if they have redesigned it? Will it still be aimed at pressure and similar, or have a new focus, maybe support? My most recent idea for a redesigned version was something akin to an "Enchanter", as a second "support" profession. The only problem with this is that boons have replaced enchantments, so that'd kind of make the name redundant… *shrugs* Anyway, we'll see… |

I remade the poll in light of Thief being announced. |

I feel I can just carry on with my last prediction several posts up (I think the Thief is one of the remade professions rather than a new one, so a tech profession is still viable, then leaving space for the remaining original profession |

Okay, so I reset the poll again! Last profession to go! What are your thoughts? This is the most loved poll in history |

Still looking good for the Mesmer to be the last profession! On a side note, with only one profession remaining, which professions can use pets? Ranger and … ? Fairly sure I read somewhere that two professions will have pets, but I'm not sure which the second one is (unless it's the undisclosed one) :S |
