I think the Guardian will fit really well in with the other classes already listed off.  I was worried that the support classes wouldn't be as effective in a group environment, but it seems that concern is taken care of now.

I figure this rules out the Paragon.  Maybe the Dervish as well.

^^ Para was pretty much a no-go anyway, since their only real specialism was shouts/chants, and this seems to have more or less been fully worked into the Warrior class. Derv could have (mb still could as an Adventurer?) made it back, I guess, but with the absence of a scythe I doubt it.

Anyway, the Guardian (or as I'm going to call it for a bit, the Monkulor) looks kinda cool. What do we know about the skills like Shield of Absorption? Is it going to be a duration skills, mitigating all damage for the next Xs or maybe the next Xpts of damage, or is it going to be a maintained thing?

I was reading the official wiki, and some guy was talking about how he thought the boons etc, were pointless, because he wouldn't sacrifice the self buffs to help random people (kinda missing the point of being a team player, but y'know). He argued it'd be better to let the "noobs" die, and then (since the game is supposed to be soloable) going in there himself and finishing the job. What do you guys think?

Me personally think why even play the game ( i understand its soloable) if your not gunna be a team player because eventually you'll need ppl to help you. If i were to compare the guardian to a class in other games i think it would be the tank, because it can buff other, protect them, heal them, and from the skill vids it looks like it can do nice dmg.

It would be kick ass if it were a maintained skill.  But, something deep down inside me says that it would be way too OP if that were the case.  I imagine it would probably be something more along the lines of a timed skill but also with a damage cap to prevent it being abused with bosses.

I like this profession a lot and cannot really find much negative about it. I like that there is much tactical elements in this class. I can picture myself playing as Norn Guardian.
