Goodbye GW1 Video?

With GW2 becoming ever closer to release I thought GW1 deserved a fitting send off!
So why not a video made by our very own community! So here is the idea…

Everyone get some in-game videos of GW1, it could be an intense fight, your favourite cutscene or vista or a super crazy golem dance party; basically anything that's in-game footage. When you are recording please turn off the HUD (Ctrl + Shift + H). I'm hoping to get about 5 minutes of usable footage so I need everyone to contribute.

We will need to sort out what file format to use and how to get the clip to me. Other than a few school projects using Windows Movie Maker I have no experience with editing clips so if anyone knows how to do that sort of thing please get in contact.

If you need a program to record clips I suggest Xfire: http://www.xfire.com/
I think you need to make an account but it's free and records limitlessly, it also adds an ingame overlay similar to steam's.

Also any other ideas or questions post em below!

Hey yah thats a great idea! I have a new computer and quite guild wars 1 because i felt it useless to spend more hours on a game i will soon completly abbandon for GW2. But I would be able to do editing for sure! Keep in touch if u dont have an editor

I would love for you to be an editor. Now all we need is some actual videos…
I'll get recording over the next few weeks and encourage others to do the same!

I'll try to get a good one of FoW and some random explorable areas. I just need to get xfire again and figure out how to use it xD

I absolutely love the cinematic when your leave pre-sear, "This is where the true story begins…" i'm gonna get some footage of that.

Just wondering, but if you want footage of gameplay, would you prefer UI on or off? I know that if I'm getting some of FoW or a dungeon I'll want my UI up to cast spells. Most explorable areas I wouldn't need it up, though.

Prefrably UI would be off.
