At the end of the new video I saw that giant dragon and I thought it was the Crystal Elder Dragon but then I saw this on the ANet blog
And watch out for the dragon, named The Shatterer. He’s a special rank of dragon that terrorizes the Brand. You’ll see him in the demo too.
So maybe we will be fighting more than just Elder Dragons. Maybe the Elder Dragons are end-game stuff or even content for future expansions. The way I see it there might be alot of minor dragon bosses throught out the game.
So what are your guys thoughts?

I dont think its a minor dragon. Look how epic he is…..!!!
As cool as dragons are I hope there are other types of bosses to keep things interesting.
OMG Arena net said we will see him in a Demo. Thats really cool

When the Dragon descended from on high through the clouds and landed onto the wreckage of the Dragonbrand, my jaw nearly dropped.
I too thought it was one of the Elder Dragons, and upon learning that The Shatterer is a relatively minor dragon, I was a little stunned, though not entirely disappointed. I guess my biggest qualm (and excitement) is that I'm not sure how us players are going to unite in order to stop something like that from terrorizing the area.

The Dragonbrand is an area of land destroyer or changed by the passing over of the Shatterer. When he flew over that land he created the Dragonbrand. That is the place where the purple charr are found.
I've also wondered how players will deal with the dragons in the new event system. Reading a review somewhere I found that the events will not be never-repeating since that would require 10,000 people working for Anet. So there is I suppose a chance that some dragons will return or that there are numerous minor dragons.
A friend also came up with the thought of there being no end-game, because how can a game like this have end-game? You would only be able to do it once and then that is that.

You know that huge, glowing purple dragon that appears at the end of the MMO Manifesto Video we released last week? Yeah, that’s totally in the live demo.
So just so it's clear we have still not seen the Crystal elder dragon just Shatter

I read somewhere that shatterer is the minion of the crystal elder dragon, maybe i just imagined it not sure.
